What does the metric “Alert - Data Center Issue (with Estimates, IT Configuration, or IT Meter)” report?

The metric “Alert - Data Center Issue (with Estimates, IT Configuration, or IT Meter)” will return one of the following:

  • OK
  • Possible issue
  • “Unable to Check (not enough data)”

This is what causes each:

  • If the property has a Data Center that is using Energy Estimates:
    • If the IT Energy Configuration = “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” = OK
    • If the IT Energy Configuration is NOT “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” and there are NO IT meters = Possible issue
    • If the IT Energy Configuration is NOT “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” and there is at least one IT meter = OK.
      • This could be because you are starting to meter your IT energy, but you don’t yet have 12 months of data, so you are using Estimates in the meantime.
  • If the property has a Data Center that is NOT using Energy Estimates:
    • If the IT Energy Configuration is NOT “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” and there is at least one IT meter = OK
    • If the IT Energy Configuration is NOT “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” and there are no IT meters = Possible Issue
    • If the IT Energy Configuration = “No IT Energy Configuration Selected” and there are NO IT meters: Possible issue
  • If the property has no meters, the value will be: “Unable to Check (not enough data)”
  • If the property does not have a data center, the value will be: “OK”

This metric can be added to Custom Reports from the Data Accuracy tab in the Select Metrics modal.
