At the bottom of the Details tab, there is a box called "Verification."
If you are required to comply with a state or local benchmarking law or other third-party program, you may also be required to have your data and information verified. You can enter the name, title, organization, phone, email, postal code, and professional credentials of the person who verified the benchmarking report, as well as the time period being verified, and the date the data was verified.
The requirements for reporting and the professional credentials of the "verifier" will vary by location, so be sure to visit your local or state website to determine whether and how it requires verification.
This data does not get saved year to year. When you verify data for a new year, the old information will be overwritten. But it will be saved in your data submission Excel report.
