Lamps and light bulbs, especially those that contain mercury should not be thrown in the trash. They should be safely managed so that the mercury doesn't end up in a landfill or incinerator.

Note: The meter for Recycled Light bulbs was created April 1, 2019. If you had been tracking your Recycled Light Bulbs as "Disposed" you'll want to update this now that the "Recycled" option is available. You can't change a Meter Type, see this FAQ for a work-around.
