The "Start Date" for a Waste Meter is the day you start collecting the waste.
For example, say you start a new composting program and the first day the collection bins are set out is January 1, 2023. The bins are emptied every Friday, and you get a monthly bill from your compost hauler at the end of the month.
- Your Meter "Start Date" would be January 1, 2023. The Start Date should always align with the first date of the first meter entry to make sure all bills are counted in metrics.
- Your first meter consumption entry, would be the sum of the amounts from the bin from each Friday in January.
