How are the Trend metrics in the chart on the MyPortfolio tab calculated?

  • Updated

The Trend chart on the My Portfolio tab displays up to 10 calendar years of historical data. Each data point represents all of your properties that have the full calendar year of data for the selected metric.

You can select the metric that you want to see in the chart by selecting "Change Metric." The metric options are listed below.

These metrics are averaged across all properties that have a full calendar year of data for the selected metric, time weighted by floor area (meaning your smaller buildings will have less impact than larger buildings):

  • ENERGY STAR Score
  • Source EUI
  • Site EUI
  • Weather Normalized Site EUI
  • Weather Normalized Source EUI
  • Water/Wastewater Site EUI
  • Water/Wastewater Source EUI

These metrics are summed across all properties that have that have a full calendar year of data for the selected metric.

  • Total Energy Use
  • Total Water Use
  • Total Waste (Disposed and Diverted)
  • Energy Cost
  • Water Cost
  • Waste Cost
  • Total GHG Emissions
  • Total GHG Emissions Intensity

Note: Properties that do not have a value for a specific metric within a specific calendar year are skipped so only the properties that have data are reflected for that data point. For example, if the source EUI for a property can be calculated in 2009, 2010 and 2012 but not 2011, that property would not be included in the average for 2011.
